Whistle & Flute: a phrase of cockney rhyming slang from East London, where the latter part of an obscure idiom rhymes with the word of original meaning, in this case, “suit”. Taking a cue from their English husbands the partners, Yoon Chang and Je-Won Hwang, named the line “whistle and flute” and debuted their collection for Fall/Winter 2007.
